Lashes Extension
A lash extension treatment involves applying individual synthetic lashes onto each natural eyelash to add extra length and volume. They're perfect for holidays, a big event or just perfect lashes every day. It takes around an hour and a half for a full set to be applied, so it's definitely not a lunch-break treatment.
Things you should know about getting lash extension
1. It’s a very luxurious process.
Really—it’s enjoyable. You lie down in a bed and close your eyes for an hour and a half while calming music plays in the background and a technician attaches little feathery nothings to your lashes. It’s the most socially acceptable naptime a working adult could ask for.
2. Every lash extension experience is customizable.
First, you can choose the length. Our Spa carry extension lengths from 9 to 15mm. After you pick your length, pick your curl. Then you pick the style you like
3. Yes, you can wear makeup with them.
Make sure to carefully remove the shadow or liner with oil-free makeup remover and Q-tips for precision. Most importantly, stay away from mascara entirely as it leaves the extensions crusty and damaged. It's only acceptable if you're at the end of your cycle and will be getting a fresh set in a few days.
4. Extensions can ruin your eyelashes—but they don’t have to.
That is, if you don’t play by the rules. I am one of the many people who have made the mistake of pulling out the extensions myself–not only is it extremely painful but it leaves you with few to no natural eyelashes left. However, after what I like to call the intense “eyelash rehab” program of applying Vaseline to my lashes every night, my natural eyelashes were back to normal after a month and a half.
5. The only way to get rid of them is to get them professionally removed or have them fall out naturally.
Having the extensions removed is as easy as having them put on–painless and relatively quick. Every salon will have this service available. If you're not looking to spend any more money, however, the extensions do fall out with the natural shedding of your lashes. This is a much slower process.
The Fill
(Touch up)
Refills are designed to fill in any obvious gaps left as extensions naturally fall. The point at which your real lashes join the eyelash extension weakens over time due to oil or other impurities. After about three weeks, the join starts to become unstable and will be ready to come off. For this reason, we prefer not to do a refill after the 3 week mark as its very likely a large number of your extensions will fall out within the next week.
This is why we recommend you attend a refill appointment within the first three weeks of having your new set applied to get the most out of your extensions and the best value for money. After 2-3 weeks, we suggest a new set to make sure your eyelash extensions last and always look their best.
WE WANT TO AVOID HAVING TOO MUCH ADHESIVE ON YOUR LASHES
When we apply a new set of eyelash extensions, we do so on clean, adhesive and residue-free lashes. This is the ideal scenario for the extensions to bond effectively. When infills are applied, we are using adhesive on top of the adhesive that is already there. This means that the bond is not as strong and residue will be building up on the hair follicle which is not ideal for your eyelash health.
To maintain a full, soft and lush look, we recommend only 1 set of refills (or in rare cases an absolute maximum of two) in between each full set. Think of it like this- if you applied hairspray to your hair too many times in between washes, your hair would be stiff and clumpy. No-one wants eyelashes that look like that!
For best results we recommend refills being applied within three weeks of the original full set. Outside of this three-week period, a full set will represent better value for money.
REFILLS ARE DONE WITH FOUR GOALS IN MIND:
1. Clean & tidy up eyelash extensions still on your eyes
2. Remove the lashes that are ready to fall out due to the natural growth cycle
3. Remove any weak bonding lashes
4. Fix any obvious cavities between lashes & lash extensions
FAQ
1.Is it my natural lash growth cycle?
It’s possible that this has ended and your lashes are falling out to make way for new ones, taking your extensions with them. This is not something that can be controlled by you or us- this is simply how the human body works.
2.How long have I had these extensions?
If it’s been three or more weeks since the extensions were applied, the adhesive will have weakened so this is completely normal.
3.Have you kept to the recommended refill/ full set cycle?
We recommend you have refills applied within three weeks of your full set and only one refill between sets for best results.
After Care
Eyelash Extensions are a high maintenance beauty treatment. They require very gentle care in order for the lashes to last longer and stay in good condition.
Be gentle. Do not rub or pull on your eyelash extensions.
Keep your Eyelash Extensions dry for 4-6 hours after your appointment.
You may wash your face in the sink using a washcloth, avoiding the eye area.
Keep all oil based products away from the eyes and remember that everything on your face will travel to the eye area.
Oil WILL breakdown the adhesive and you will have premature lash extension loss.
Your hands can get dirty, and dirt is oily, so you’ll want to keep your fingers off your eyes unless cleansing.
Lash tinting will need to be done 24-48 hours before your lash fill appointments.
No perming the lashes!
No saunas, facials, or swimming within 4-6 hours of application.
Do not stick your head in the oven when baking! It can singe your extensions! Turn your head away from the oven when putting anything in or pulling anything out.
Do not use Eyelash Curlers.
You should be careful and take specific care with makeup and remover.
Do not use cotton on your lash extensions.
Wash your lashes daily (after the initial 4-6 hours). Apply oil-free makeup remover with your fingers, rubbing gently down the lashes.
Or you may apply oil-free makeup remover to your lashes using a disposable mascara wand. Spray onto wand, brush through lashes gently, and rinse with warm water.
Mascara should be washable and cannot be waterproof.

We recommend The Lashe Mascara as it is designed to be worn with eyelash extensions and can be removed easily.
Apply mascara to the tips of the lashes only. No need to swipe from bottom to top.
Do not attempt to remove any lashes on your own, call us for an appointment.
Brush your lashes daily.
Remember:
1) We aren’t attaching airplane parts! Aggressive behavior towards the lashes will cause the lash extensions to come off.
2) Keep them dry for 4-6 hours after application. If you wear eye shadows and liners, you will need to keep it on or re-apply over it.
3) Keep oil off your lashes, including oils from your fingers.
4) If you wash them, you will wear them longer. Be sure to cleanse daily to remove oils.
5) Brushing solves most problems. Try brushing the lashes gently if you notice something amiss.
